This documentary captures the magic of a vibrant, community-building music festival held in July 2014 on porches all around Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. Sixty-five musicians played jazz, reggae, classical, R & B, country, rock, world, and more to a roving audience of 7,000+ people. The film illustrates the power of transforming personal spaces into public art venues, knitting the community together porch by porch. JPPorchfest producers offer a sneak preview of plans to add theater, circus arts, poetry, spoken word, and dance to future Porchfests.
